In 2019 Samron Midwest Contracting constructed 1.2 miles of 2 lane concrete roadway to Halfway Road south of W Main Street to connect with Westminster Drive. This project benefits not only the City of Marion but also the Pepsi MidAmerica plant and Crips Container Corporation, and the Marion School District.
